However, the real problem in Dallas is not Avery Johnson. The Mavs have been ousted the past two years because their superstars have not shown up in the playoffs and their owner puts his paws on too much of the basketball operations. That's right, I said it, Mark Cuban is the cause of the Mavs rise to mediocrity. He is also the reason they fail year after year to win a championship. Cuban puts a good product on the floor and his team is great for the regular season. However, Mark Cuban has no idea how to win an NBA championship! He needs to back off and just be an energetic owner, not an owner/GM. He brings in players who don't get along with his head coaches and expects the coaches to deal with the problem. Stop bringing in the Jerry Stackhouses. Stop bringing in the Jason Kidds. Stop bringing in the Devon Harris' until after you have talked with your real GM and your head coach! Cuban makes too many "spur of the moment" and emotion driven decisions to ever be an owner with an NBA championship banner.
