This has been done over so many times. This Death of Superman has been replayed between the comic books and DVD since 1993. Talk about recycling episodes. They keep adding on and taking away parts to and from this story. At least they ad some substance to the creature's history in some previous versions. In this lastest DVD it's like some creature that was buried in the earth and held captive in some space capsule is broken free by a staff of scientists and engineers working for Lex Luther.
