Only the 1972 Miami Dolphins have finished an NFL regular season unbeaten. Can the 2007-2008 Patriots duplicate this feat? Well, the answer to this question is HELL no in this day and age of professional sports. The Patriots have the talent to go 16-0, or 19-0 including a Superbowl victory. However, today's teams do a few things that end the pursuits of records like an undefeated season.

First, the Patriots will win their division fairly quickly this season and will begin to rest their players. Some players won't play at all and some will only play a quarter or two and be pulled to thwart injury.

Next, the Patriots play a few terrible teams this season which will leave them open to being beaten by one of these teams. The Dolphins, Bills, and Jets are horrible divisional foes and either of the 3 could beat the Patriots due to the Patriots looking past them to their next hard game.

The Patriots will probably still win the Superbowl, but they will not go undefeated for the regular season.
