Soulja Boy finally dropped the long awaited album, Tell 'Em. I listened to this album about 30 times to be sure I was not dreaming as I wrote this review.
The verdict is in ... this album is pure garbage! The album has absolutely no substance and Crank Dat must have been the blueprint for each and every song on the album. The slow rhymes will put you to sleep! The beats are tight, but again, Crank Dat is the blueprint. If you liked Crank Dat, you will like this album if you can listen to Crank Dat 10 times back to back. Soulja Boy is a one hit wonder because all the songs are built from Crank Dat. Albums like this prove lyrical skills are unnecessary to make it in hip hop nowadays.
