As an artist who as passionate about her craft, Jamila is making strong efforts to blaze trails. With a diversity of talents in her arsenal, she supplements her positive energy to bring forth a unique approach to spoken word.
As a poet and muslim hip hop artist Jamila experiments with various ways to marry alternative, Rock, hip-hop soul, and blues into her own unique brand of poetic. She is part of a growing enclave of alternative artists who are trying to balance the forces of entertainment with more substance and less fluff. Honing and growing her craft as well as diversifying her portfolio with fashion and her own radio show Jamila is making waves on many fronts.
