The Tom Joyner Morning Show has kept millions of people entertained throughout the years.
But this show has lost its luster in recent years. It appears the self proclaimed (*in a high pitched girly voice*) Hardest working man in radio has nothing to do unless some dummy like Don Imus says something stupid. Then Tom Joyner finds new topic bandwagons he can jump on and get the community excited. If the African American community isn't being bashed by someone, Tom Joyner has nothing to do and his show is really just taking up 4 hours of my morning radio space. Be green, save the waves!
Tom, find some new stuff man. TJMS no longer stands for Tom Joyner Morning Show, it now stands for Those Jokes Must Stop! Your jokes are corny and Jay Anthony Brown is the only piece of the show that is half way entertaining. Too bad Jay couldn't hold down his own show as his variety amounts to almost nothing as well.
Also, everyone who calls into the show sounds like one of my great-great grandparents. Are there any young listeners for this show? Is there anyone under 67 listening to the show? They go on a cruise every year and I bet 95% of the participants have an AARP membership!
The Tom Joyner Morning Show has that same soap opera, same old people at the sky shows, same old girls telling the news, and some really, really, really old sounding lady who's supposed to be ghetto or something. This show's usefulness on the air has drop significantly in recent years and Tom Joyner is going to have to change or risk being overtaken by some of the shows on the up and up.
Highs of the show:
- Has the ability to get stagnant individuals involved in community causes (not sure why they follow him, but whatever works Tom)
- Jay Anthony Brown will say something funny every now and again.
- Jay Anthony Brown murders the hits sometimes.
- Old school - new school remixes.
- Give away money if you can stomach listening to an entire show
Lows of the show:
- Tom and Jay say "Playa" way too much. And they laugh at each other when they say it too which is pretty annoying. Even after they say it for the 4000th time on a show, they are still laughing at each other!
- The girls on the show are drab, and that's on a good day.
- It's Your World is still on. You haven't won a daytime Emmy for this so shut it down.
