I must firstly say that Barack Obama is indeed a man of Greatness, I have followed him from since he was a senator, I read his books the Audacity of hope , like my father and. I adore him so much so that I want to be his Monica Lewinski. Lol.

Here in my twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago Barack Obama Name is king, for many, I was astonished when I opened the newspaper on Wednesday to find his face on the front page the first page fourth page the fifth and continuing, the papers was basically filled with his name. While one of our very own caylpsonian “The mighty Duke” who recently past away sadly go to, two columns in the newspaper one on the 3 and the other on about the 3rd to last page, what can I say...hmm... I do agree that that Obama made history I agree it is a turning point for African Americas and by extension all black person around the world. I now see however why many are now saying that he is the Antichrist , his name Barack Obama is known from the smallest third world country to the largest first world country. We give him so much attention that these individuals see it and him as a sign pointing to Obama being The Antichrist. Should we wrong them for that, I think not.

I recently heard a young man statement which suggested that Barack Obama will indeed punish all white people and that all African Americans will indeed have a better life now that their President is Black. I laughed when I hear that, first of all the young man was being racist, secondly he was ignorant to the fact that Obama sorry Mr. president never did run a race campaign, his team is mixed with both whites and blacks, and at the end of the day Mr. president is sounded by many white authorities respectively..So I certainly don’t see Barack Obama “picking up” for blacks and shutting down whites I hardly think that that Obama is even focusing on race. In his inauguration speech he said “All are equal All are free. He went on to say “ For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and traveled across oceans in search of a new life.

For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and plowed the hard earth.

For us, they fought and died, in places like Concord and Gettysburg; Normandy and Khe Sahn.

Time and again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.”
In which he coupled the struggle of both race, not putting one above the other, and following the dream of Martin Luther King.

It is indeed sad to see Martin Luther king dream of seeing whites and blacks being living in harmony, just disappear from the minds and memories of some African Americans. After the entire struggle, pain, tears, sacrifices and most of all his teaching has been forgotten by some.

Therefore we should revisit Dr King’s dreams….

{{{ Great point umbrarchist. Do you have a link to the John Kenneth Galbraith writing about the obsolescence of the automobile?

I am surprised the rich and powerful were acting like they knew nothing about the obsolescence of the automobile. }}}

He wrote about it in his book, The Affluent Society.

If you check the book, The Millionaire Next Door it says the 36% of millionaires buy used cars. Now why would they do that? They care about NET WORTH and don't want to lose wealth to depreciation.

I had a XEROX sales manager tell me that he liked for his salemen to be in debt because it made them hustle. If the peopns go into debt for junk they can barely afford that depreciates to boot then they always have their heads in an economic noose. That gives power to the rich.

CAVEAT EMPTOR SUCKER!

I happened to catch the 1995 Detroit auto show. A camera crew was going around interviewing people and asking what they though to the cars. They stopped a young Black man and they asked him about the cars THREE TIMES. And every time he started talking about women. He didn't care about cars. They were just to help him get what mattered to him. So some women are working for the automobile industry. Helping to transfer money to the palefaces.

Hello,

Great point umbrarchist. Do you have a link to the John Kenneth Galbraith writing about the obsolescence of the automobile?

Why would we get rid of the automobile when the automakers were out producing these gas guzzling SUVs for the past 15 years like automobiles would never go out of style? Seems as if there was going to be a move to get rid of "Ford," Ford would know and make appropriate changes and preparations. I am surprised the rich and powerful were acting like they knew nothing about the obsolescence of the automobile.

And what has constituted this "better life"?

There have been 200,000,000 automobiles in the United States since 1995. That is more cars than there were Americans during the Depression. And now a Black man has become president after these White people have really screwed up the country since the Moon landing.

John Kenneth Galbraith was an economic advisor to JFK. He wrote about the planned obsolescence of automobiles in 1959, ten years before the Moon landing. How old was Obama in 1959?

200,000,000 cars at $1,500 in depreciation per car per year comes to $300,000,000,000 lost by Americans every year. That is FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS since 1995. But how many Black women LOVE "nice" cars but don't know a thing about how they work?

I bet none of Obama's economic advisors are telling him about the planned obsolescence of automobiles.

So....you are basing an entire article about the "reign on ignorance among blacks" based on the comment of one black kid......

Wait to not rob minorities of individuality...

Oh, and the fact that he gets a lot of media coverage does not even begin to justify the entire antichrist thing. Especially considering that people like Brittany Spears get a lot of media coverage too....
