I had the pleasure of reviewing a new artist this week, MerCee, representing Durham, NC. When I receive music from new artists, I listen to them for a few days over and over. Then I add them to my playlist(s) to see how the new artist might fair against the ruthless rap industry. Let's check out MerCee and "Lemme Holla at Ya" this week.

"Freak Girl Remix" by Gucci Mane featuring Ludacris gave me a very weird feeling as I listened to it. This song reminds me of Alex Rodriguez playing for the Texas Rangers. One of the best players in the game (Ludacris) playing with sorry players (Gucci Mane) so the overall team is sorry (Freaky Girl Remix).

Soulja Boy and his mindless tactics are at it again with another hit song, "Booty Meat." This is sure to be the flavor of the fall with the deep bass and easy to remember hook.

The original featured T-Pain, Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Plies. A successful remix usually upgrades the original version of the song. This remix is no exception!
