Alicia Keys has finally release the much hyped "As I Am" album and fans are sure to love this latest compilation from the beautiful R&B diva.
Alicia claims this album is her best work yet. Well, all artists claim their latest work is their greatest work. In their minds, that is probably true, but the fans are the ones who really decide. I have to say that this album is NOT her best work in my collection. "As I Am" is still better than 85% of the R&B I have but it is not better than all the Alicia Keys' albums I have. "Songs in A Minor" and "The Diary of Alicia Keys" rank above "As I Am" on my shelves.
This album contains tracks that are both upbeat and mellowed out, just what we have come to expect from Alicia Keys. The album does not disappoint, but it is not as good as the aforementioned albums. It is a great refreshment from other R&B trash like Keyshia Coles and Fantasia.
Thanks Alicia for giving us another album that will surely become a classic.
